Job summary

ARTC is seeking safety-focused, hardworking individuals to join our rail labouring team in Kalgoorlie. The role covers hands-on maintenance across the rail network, with extensive travel and rosters that adapt to peak periods.

Training will be provided to equip you with the necessary certifications and skills. We value practical experience, a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety as we maintain our national rail network and contribute to Australia’s movement and growth.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel extensively (80% away from home).
• Based in Kalgoorlie; not a DIDO/FIFO position.
• Able to stay in employer-provided rest house accommodation while travelling.
• Experience in civil, rail or plant industries is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• General labouring and track maintenance.
• Safety protection duties and detailed visual inspections of rail infrastructure.
• Operate heavy machinery and support welding and other maintenance activities.
• Adhere to ARTC safety and quality standards.
