Job summary

UGL Transport in NSW seeks an Infield Delivery Manager for the Sydenham Maintenance Facility to lead a team of maintainers and drive a strong safety culture while ensuring maintenance outcomes meet customer and project expectations.

You will apply Lean principles, build relationships with operations, customers and stakeholders, and support career development within a high-performing, safety‑critical environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in maintenance/production or operational environments.
• Experience leading high-performing teams.
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage safety, quality and environmental requirements in regulated settings.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel/Word).
• SAP experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Leading a strong safety culture aligned with UGL One HSE framework.
• Mentoring and developing team members to achieve objectives.
• Ensuring train availability and reliability targets are met through planning and execution.
• Monitoring maintenance performance and managing operational risks.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives through Lean.
• Building collaborative relationships with operations, customers and stakeholders.
• Managing team performance, development, succession and capability growth.
• Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, policies and reporting standards.
