Job summary

ARTC in Goulburn is hiring Infrastructure Maintainers (Rail Labourers) for hands-on upkeep of the rail network, including preventive and reactive maintenance and support for minor capital upgrades.

You will work outdoors as part of a safety-conscious team, performing varied tasks, from general labouring to track safety duties, inspections, and machinery operation, with training provided to build certifications and practical skills.

Qualifications

• Current Driver’s Licence is required.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required.
• General Construction Induction Card (WhiteCard) required.
• Civil, rail or plant experience is preferred.
• Rail Industry Worker (RIW) competencies needed.

Responsibilities

• General labouring.
• Track maintenance and safety protection duties.
• Detailed visual inspections of rail infrastructure.
• Operating heavy machinery, welding and other maintenance activities.
• Adhering to ARTC’s safety and quality standards.
