Job summary

KBR, Inc. in NSW seeks a Design Project Manager (Rail) to lead multidisciplinary teams on major rail and transport projects. You will drive project performance from planning through to completion, ensuring quality, risk management and client satisfaction across NSW.

You will report to the Discipline Manager and guide design management with strong commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement and a track record in rail infrastructure delivery. A relevant engineering or PM qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project management and/or design management within the rail sector.
• Strong commercial acumen including budgets, schedules and risk.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and consultant interfaces.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client relationship management.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
• Professional registration and/or Chartered status is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of rail and transport infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
• Take ownership of program, budget, risk, quality and commercial performance.
• Establish and manage project execution plans in line with KBR’s project delivery frameworks.
• Provide governance and strategic guidance across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Manage interfaces and stakeholder relationships to ensure delivery outcomes.
• Identify, mitigate and escalate delivery risks.
