Job summary

Lumus Imaging in Melbourne invites applications for an Imaging Assistant in a casual capacity. You will help radiographers in general, CT and MRI imaging by gathering patient history, explaining risks, and supporting patient care.

You may assist at multiple sites, including Brunswick Private Hospital, and contribute to a friendly, growth-focused team environment. We value empathy, clear communication, adaptability to extended hours, and the ability to lift and reposition patients.

Qualifications

• Student of Radiography or strong interest in medical imaging.
• Interest in medical imaging preferred.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Empathetic and clear communication required.
• Available for extended hours and weekends.
• Able to lift patients and reposition them as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist general, CT and MRI radiographers by asking patients questions, obtaining medical history and outlining risks.
• Assist in positioning patients undergoing CT scans.
• Support at other Lumus Imaging sites, including Brunswick Private Hospital.

This is a casual position where you will assist general, CT and MRI radiographers in asking patients critical questions, obtaining their medical history, outlining risks involved, and explaining procedures.

You must be able to assist in positioning patients undergoing CT scans and you may be asked to assist at our other sites including Brunswick Private Hospital.

• This is an excellent opportunity for a student of Radiography or someone with a keen interest in medical imaging
• Sound medical knowledge is preferable but not essential
