Parchem Construction Supplies, part of DuluxGroup, is seeking a Research & Development Chemist to help develop the next generation of construction products. This is a hands-on role focused on formulation, testing and product development, working with experienced scientists and cross-functional teams to turn ideas into commercially successful products.

The role will focus on cementitious and resin-based products, with opportunities to expand into other technologies as development grows.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Research & Development Chemist, you'll help develop the next generation of construction products that support Fosroc’s leading position. This is a hands-on R&D role where you'll be actively involved in formulation, testing and product development, working closely with experienced scientists and cross-functional teams to turn ideas into commercially successful products.

The role will focus on cementitious and resin-based products, with opportunities to expand into other technologies as your experience and development grow. You'll improve existing formulations, contribute to new product innovations, solve technical challenges, and help deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions for customers. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, getting your hands dirty, and seeing your work come to life in real-world applications, this role is for you.

What We're Looking For

• Degree qualifications in Chemistry, Applied Science or a related STEM discipline


• Formulation experience would be beneficial, ideally with construction chemicals


• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting and leveraging data insights


• Proven problem-solving capability and a structured approach to root cause analysis


• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills


• Highly organised, detail-oriented and committed to quality outcomes


• Collaborative team player with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
