Job summary

Heidelberg Materials' Pink Lily & Fitzroy Sands quarries in Rockhampton are seeking a reliable, hands-on operator to join our production team. This full-time role requires you to work both independently and as part of the sand production operation, with overtime as required.

On the tools you will operate front end loaders, sand washing and screening plants, excavators and other quarry gear, with tickets encouraged and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Front End Loader ticket required.
• Excavator ticket required.
• Experience with plant pre-starts, fault finding and basic maintenance.
• Solid safety mindset and ability to spot hazards.
• Good communication and willingness to speak up in site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Operate front end loaders, sand washing and screening plants, excavators and other quarry gear.
• Work both independently and as part of the production team.
• Maintain safe work practices and report hazards as needed.

Pink Lily & Fitzroy Sands Quarries – Rockhampton Heidelberg Materials is chasing a reliable, hands‑on operator to join the crew at our Pink Lily and Fitzroy Sands quarries.

About the Role

The position is full-time with overtime as required based in Rockhampton. The successful applicant must be able to work both independent and part of the sand production operation team.

You will be on the tools operating:
Front end loaders
Fixed and mobile sand washing and screening plants
Excavators
Other general quarry gear

Background and Experience required

• Front End Loader ticket
• Excavator ticket
• Experience with plant pre-starts, fault finding and basic maintenance
• Solid safety mindset and ability to spot hazards
• Good communication and willingness to speak up in site meetings
• HR truck licence (highly regarded, but not essential)
• Forklift ticket (highly regarded, but not essential)
