Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a self-motivated Quarry Operator for the Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in VIC. This full-time role includes overtime and weekend work, located approx. 2 hours north of Melbourne.

You will operate and maintain vehicles and equipment, including excavator, front-end loader, dump truck and grader, and perform general labour such as cleaning and maintenance. Experience in quarrying/mining is preferred and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in quarrying or mining.
• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to risk management and OH&S.
• Ticket in excavator/front end loader/dump truck is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day operation and maintenance of vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavator, front end loader, dump truck and grader.
• Perform general labour including cleaning, hosing and shovelling and quarry maintenance.

Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of Australia's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in VIC, approx. 2 hours drive North of Melbourne CBD.

This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In Your New Role With Us, You Will

• Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment
• Operate a heavy machinery such as excavator, front end loader, dump truck & grader. (Experience preferred)
• Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shoveling and general quarry maintenance
