Job summary

Protech are seeking an experienced Plant Operator for an immediate start at a busy quarry operation located in Ormeau on the northern Gold Coast. This hands‑on role suited to an operator with quarry or mining experience, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to consistently achieve production and performance targets.

You will work full-time hours, Mon to Fri with potential for extra days, starting from AU$42 per hour plus overtime.

Qualifications

Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport (mandatory).
Experience operating mobile plant in a quarry, mining, civil, or heavy industry environment.
Experience operating Loaders (with scales), Dump Trucks, or similar earthmoving equipment highly regarded.
Relevant mobile plant tickets or VOCs advantageous.
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

Operate mobile plant and equipment safely and efficiently within a quarry environment.
Load, move and stockpile quarry materials in line with production requirements.
Work collaboratively with site personnel to support daily operations.
Conduct pre-start checks and maintain a strong focus on safety and housekeeping.
Follow site procedures and contribute to a productive team environment.
