Laing O’Rourke is seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator to join its AUKUS team in Australia. The role requires 4+ years post graduate experience in quantity surveying or contracts administration within construction, with MRICS preferred and eligibility for NV1 security clearance.

Expect involvement in budget management, cost forecasting, risk assessment and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifikationen

• MRICS qualification or in progress.
• 4+ years post graduate experience in quantity surveying / contracts administration within the construction industry.
• Degree in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and negotiation abilities.
• Australian citizens eligible for Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator to join our AUKUS team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost planning, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes.
• Oversee change management, claims, extensions of time and commercial entitlements.
• Advise the project management team on issues & initiate correspondence.
• Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder and supply chain relationships while influencing successful project delivery.

About you

• Attained or working towards obtaining MRICS.
• Minimum 4years’ post graduate experience in quantity surveying / Contracts Administraton within the construction industry.
• Construction Management, Building, Engineering degree or equivalent.
• A high level of technical and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills along with your ability to liaise confidently with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be highly regarded.
• Microsoft software especially Excel.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
