Job summary

NX Blue is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Contract Administrator for a short-term contract on the Snowy 2.0 project. The role is fully remote from the Eastern States of Australia, Monday to Friday, 8 hours daily, reporting to the Commercial Team. Contract duration is 3 to 6 months with possible extensions.

You will identify, quantify and substantiate entitlements, variations and claims, while supporting cost management, valuations and commercial reporting across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
• Engineering background with Civil or Structural focus or related skillset.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Job description

Quantity Surveyor / Contract Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Contract Administrator with Civil and Construction experience preferably in Tier 1 Infrastructure projects for a short term support role on the Iconic Snowy 2.0 project. This will be a fully remote based role from the Eastern States of Australia. This is a Monday to Friday, 8hrs a day working with and reporting directly to the Commercial Team. This will be a 3 to 6 month contract with possible extensions.

You will be working closely with Contracts, Engineering, Project Controls, Finance and Site teams, you will be responsible for identifying, quantifying and substantiating contractual entitlements, variations and claims, while supporting project cost management, valuations and commercial reporting activities.

What you bring to the table:

You are a motivated and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced project environment and solving complex commercial challenges. To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Experience in Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration, Commercial Management or a related discipline. Engineering background, Graduate Engineer in Civil or Structural Engineering or related skillset.
• Construction White Card
• Exposure to infrastructure, construction, engineering, energy or resources projects.
• Experience with claims, variations, progress payments and cost management.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to delivering outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial management systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and highly proficient at Pivot Tables and data analysis.
• Preferably used E7 but not a deal breaker.
• You will be based on the Eastern States of Australia.
• Strong ability in Contract Interpretation
• Full Australian working rights.
