Job summary

AirSWIFT is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Brisbane team, delivering accurate cost advice and commercial support across major construction and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with clients, project teams, and contractors to drive cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in quantity surveying or cost management, a degree in a related field, and proficiency with CostX and Excel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 3+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management.
• Experience in consultancy, contractor, or client-side environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurement of construction works.
• Provide procurement and tendering support, including tender analysis.
• Administer contracts and manage commercial aspects of projects.
• Assess progress claims and variations; negotiate where needed.
• Produce cost reports, forecasts, and financial tracking.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and project budgets.
• Identify value engineering opportunities for cost savings.
• Monitor project expenditure and overall financial performance.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in providing accurate cost advice and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle. Working closely with clients, project teams, and contractors, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

About You

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Urban Development, or similar.
• AIQS, RICS, or equivalent professional membership highly regarded.

Experience

• 3+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management.
• Experience within consultancy, contractor, or client-side environments.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.
• Exposure to large-scale construction, infrastructure, energy, or resources projects is advantageous.
• Proficiency with CostX, Excel, and other industry-standard estimating software.
