Optiver in Sydney is seeking a Quantitative Trading Intern to tackle complex problems and help design, develop and enhance trading strategies under expert mentorship. You will gain hands-on experience with live data, derivatives concepts and backtesting within an 8-week program that can lead to a Graduate Quantitative Trader offer.

Qualifications

Penultimate year university student pursuing a quantitative or related degree.
Strong mathematical and analytical reasoning skills.
Experience with Python programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

Complete lectures and coursework on trading fundamentals and strategies.
Apply knowledge in simulated trading with live market data.
Develop and backtest your own algorithmic trading strategy.
Learn from in-house educators and current traders across desks.
Test potential and accelerate growth in a high-performing environment.
