Optiver is seeking a Quantitative Research Intern for an 8-week summer program in Sydney, Australia. You will engage in lectures, coursework and hands-on projects, applying statistical models, ML and big data techniques to trading problems under expert mentorship.

Qualifications

• Penultimate-year university student in a quantitative or technically focused degree.
• Interest in quantitative problems and collaborative environments.
• Proficient programming experience in at least one language (C, C++, Python, Java, etc.).
• Able to communicate technical concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a curated series of lectures and coursework on trading fundamentals.
• Work with a mentor on real-world scenarios to support trading success.
• Apply statistical models and machine learning to develop trading algorithms.
