Optiver Sydney is seeking a Quantitative Trading Intern to tackle complex quantitative problems under the guidance of experienced mentors during an 8-week summer program. You will design, develop and enhance trading strategies and gain exposure to market making across multiple desks.

You will participate in lectures, hands-on trading, and backtesting, with the opportunity for a return offer as a Graduate Quantitative Trader if you excel this summer.

Qualifikationen

• Penultimate-year university student.
• Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, or able to work full rights.
• Lateral thinker with passion for quantitative problems and collaborative environments.
• Strong quantitative and logical reasoning skills.
• Experience in Python is a plus.

• Complete lectures and coursework on trading fundamentals including options pricing and markets.
• Apply knowledge in a simulated trading environment with live market data.
• Develop and backtest an algorithmic trading strategy using historical data.
• Learn from in-house educators and traders across various desks.
