Job summary

Veolia is seeking a qualified professional to lead the Integrated Management System program in Australia. The role ensures ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 compliance and drives continuous improvement across operations.

You will manage documentation governance, support safety and environmental teams, and participate in audits while aligning with evolving regulations. This is a permanent, remote-hybrid role based in Sydney with cross-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a quality or safety management role with expertise in Integrated Management Systems and certification management.
• Designing, developing, implementing, and reviewing Integrated Business Management Systems and tools.
• In-depth understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO45001 standards.
• Excellent compliance knowledge and technical skills with strong problem-solving capability.

Responsibilities

• Developing, improving, and simplifying the Integrated Business Management System across all operations, ensuring ISO 9001/14001/45001 compliance.
• Managing document governance to ensure fit-for-purpose documents are created and available.
• Leading updates to documentation in response to legal and regulatory changes.
• Communicating changes to relevant teams and stakeholders.
• Supporting Health, Safety, and Environmental teams with consistent procedures.
• Conducting internal audits and participating in external certification audits.
• Maintaining Veolia's Always Safe Site Planning Tools.
• Reviewing reporting data with stakeholders to drive performance improvements.
• Providing tender and contract support as required.

The Opportunity

This is a permanent full-time role where you will drive continuous improvement and compliance of Veolia's Integrated Business Management System. You'll simplify, standardise, and verify our SHEQ processes to ensure they meet ISO standards, support our workplace safety commitment, and deliver a positive experience for internal and external stakeholders. As an individual contributor, you'll work collaboratively across the business to ensure our management systems remain effective and compliant with evolving legislation and regulations.

What you'll be responsible for

• Developing, improving, and simplifying the Integrated Business Management System (BMS) across all operations, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards
• Conducting reviews of SHEQ documented processes and leading updates to documentation following legal and regulatory changes
• Managing document governance to ensure only fit-for-purpose documents are created and available within the BMS
• Communicating the impact of legislative, regulatory, and standards changes to relevant teams
• Supporting Health, Safety, and Environmental teams in developing consistent procedures and documented information
• Conducting internal audits and participating in external certification audits
• Developing and maintaining Veolia's Always Safe Site Planning Tools
• Monitoring compliance recommendations and identifying opportunities for simplification and improvement
• Preparing and reviewing SHEQ reporting data with stakeholders to drive performance monitoring and improvement
• Providing tender and contract support as required

What you'll need to be successful

• Proven experience in a quality or safety management related role with expertise in Integrated Management Systems and certification management
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing, and reviewing Integrated Business Management Systems and tools
• In-depth understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO45001 standards
• Excellent compliance knowledge and technical skills with strong problem-solving capability
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Solutions-focused and influential approach with ability to drive continuous improvement
• Self-motivated with excellent time management
• Tertiary qualifications in Quality, Safety, Environment, or Risk Management (highly desirable)
