Job summary

TRS Staffing is seeking a Quality Specialist for a workshop-based role in Welshpool, responsible for QA across fabrication fronts, ensuring compliance, traceability, documentation deliverables, and successful close-out of manufacturing records.

The position requires a trade or engineering qualification, 10+ years in QA/supervision, and current inspection qualifications (CSWIP/IWS/NACE/AMPP), with strong AS/NZS and ISO standards knowledge and drawing-reading ability.

Qualifications

• Trade or Engineering qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Supervision.
• Current inspection qualification such as CSWIP, IWS, or NACE/AMPP.
• Strong knowledge of AS/NZS, ISO standards and fabrication quality practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Excellent reporting, documentation and electronic filing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily quality surveillance across workshop fabrication activities.
• Drive quality documentation deliverables and MDR close-out activities.
• Verify and maintain material traceability records and status reporting.
• Review contractor quality documents for compliance with project requirements.
• Witness and sign off inspection and test plan hold and witness points.
• Monitor corrective actions and report on quality improvement effectiveness.
• Raise and manage NCRs and quality observations as required.
