Gurriny Yealamucka Health Services Aboriginal Corporation (GYHSAC) invites applications for the Quality, Risk & Compliance Coordinator to oversee the QMS, risk management and accreditation activities. GYHSAC is the community-controlled Indigenous health provider to over 4,000 residents of Yarrabah: Australia’s largest First Nations community.
Located east of Cairns – less than an hour’s drive from the city centre – GYHSAC is a cornerstone of the Yarrabah Community and strives to provide culturally appropriate, autonomous primary health services governed by the Community through their elected Aboriginal Board of Directors.
The Quality, Risk and Compliance Coordinator (QR&CC) is responsible for ensuring GYHSACs Quality Management System (QMS) supports continuous quality improvement in client services and has the capacity to demonstrate compliance with quality requirements as well as address organisational risk and opportunity. The role combines strategic oversight, practical implementation, and workforce engagement to promote quality care and manage risks effectively.
This position reports to the Quality, Risk & Compliance Manager (QR&CM) for supervision, workload management and Performance Planning and Review (PPR). In collaboration with (and under the direction of) the Quality, Risk & Compliance Manager (QR&CM), the Quality, Risk & Compliance Coordinator (QR&CC) will:
