Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland’s Pinangba service seeks a Quality Care Advisor to provide clinical, quality, risk and cultural governance guidance to residential aged care leaders. You’ll support safe, high-quality and culturally informed care through risk management and accreditation readiness.

You will work across multiple sites, strengthening governance and driving continuous improvement with the Pinangba Cultural Governance Framework and Model of Care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing with unrestricted AHPRA registration.
• Minimum three years' RN experience in residential aged care.
• Proven experience supporting audits and accreditation.
• Strong knowledge of aged care legislation and quality standards.
• Ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical, quality, risk, safety and cultural governance support to leaders to improve care outcomes.
• Support management of key clinical risks including deterioration, wounds, falls, infection prevention, medication safety, dementia and behaviour support.
• Build leader capability in clinical governance, cultural governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Partner with internal and external clinical experts to support best-practice care and clinical risk management.
• Support the management of serious incidents, complaints and regulatory reporting, including SIRS and NDIS reportable incidents where applicable.
• Assist services with audits, accreditation readiness and compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements and the Pinangba Cultural Governance Framework.
