Icon Oncology Group is seeking a registered Pharmacist to join the Quality team at the Slade Health Mount Kuring-Gai facility. No manufacturing experience required; training and support provided to transition into hospital pharmacy quality roles.

You'll review and release compounded medicines in a highly regulated environment, supporting quality assurance across the site and ensuring products meet safety, quality and compliance standards before release.

Qualifications

• Permanent Australian working rights.
• Current Ahpra Pharmacist general registration, with no practice restrictions.
• Availability for occasional weekend shifts.

Responsabilités

• Review, verify and release compounded medicines to ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Release finished products including oncology medications, antibiotics and TPN.
• Ensure products are prepared in accordance with specifications and documentation.
• Maintain adherence to quality management systems and procedures.
• Contribute to development and revision of quality documents.
• Review and manage product non-conformances and escalate as required.
• Record incidents, deviations and complaints in the QMS.

Our Slade Health Mount Kuring-Gai facility is growing, and we're seeking a registered Pharmacist to join our Quality team. No pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is required - whether you're newly registered, working in community pharmacy, or looking to explore a different area of the profession, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

Working in a highly regulated environment, you'll play an important role in ensuring the safety, quality, and integrity of medicines supplied to hospitals and patients across Australia. The experience gained in this role can open doors to a variety of career pathways within pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality, operations, and leadership.

Working closely with Operations and reporting to the Quality Releasing Supervisor, you'll support quality assurance activities across the facility and help ensure products consistently meet the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.

What You’ll Do

Rather than dispensing medications directly to patients, Quality Pharmacists are responsible for reviewing, verifying and releasing compounded medicines, ensuring every product meets stringent quality, safety and regulatory requirements before it reaches hospitals and patients.

Key responsibilities:

• Release finished products, including oncology medications, antibiotics, and TPN.
• Ensure products are compounded in accordance with specifications and documentation.
• Maintain adherence to quality management systems and procedures.
• Contribute to the development and revision of quality documents.
• Review and manage product non-conformances, escalating where required.
• Ensure incidents, deviations, and complaints are accurately recorded in the QMS.

Shift information

• Every Monday, Tuesday and Friday. 03:00pm – 11:00pm.
• Shift hours may change to 05:00pm – 01:00am in the future.

Site information

The Slade Health site at Mt. Kuring-Gai is tucked away in a quiet industrial area on the northern fringe of Sydney. It’s a peaceful spot, away from the hustle and bustle, but that does mean you’ll need your own transport to get there. The good news? There’s free onsite parking, and because you’ll be travelling in the opposite direction to peak hour traffic, your commute is usually quicker and far less stressful than heading into the city.

You’ll bring a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a proactive mindset. Whether you're an experienced compounding Pharmacist, newly registered or transitioning from another pharmacy setting, your ability to adapt, learn, and work collaboratively will be key to your success.

While compounding and oncology experience is highly regarded, we welcome applications from all Ahpra-registered Pharmacists.
