Job summary

Slade Pharmacy Mount Kuring-Gai is seeking a Pharmacist for a casual role with weekday shifts, located at Mount Kuring-Gai alongside the Slade Health compounding facility. You will join a specialist oncology team providing remote clinical pharmacy services to NSW public hospital outpatient clinics.

Essentially, you will hold a valid AHPRA pharmacist registration with at least 2 years of local experience. Desirable experience includes remote pharmacy roles or hospital/oncology exposure, and

About the Role

As an Oncology Pharmacist, you'll provide remote clinical pharmacy services to public hospital outpatient clinics across New South Wales. Working as part of a specialised oncology team, you'll help ensure cancer patients receive safe, timely and appropriate treatment, regardless of whether they are being treated in metropolitan centres or regional outreach clinics.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate and organise the supply of cancer therapy for hospital inpatients and day oncology unit patients.
• Develop and utilise your clinical skills to improve the outcome for cancer patients.
• Perform medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation.
• Record clinical interventions.
• Build relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• Educate and counsel staff, patients and allied health professionals.

Shift information:

• Shift hours will fall between 10:00am to 07:00pm.

About You

We invite applications from early career pharmacists looking to gain clinical pharmacy experience and specialise in oncology pharmacy. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Essential requirements:

• Valid AHPRA Pharmacist general registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 2 years pharmacist experience in Australia.
• Australian working rights that will remain valid for the duration of the contract.

Desirable skills & experience:

• Experience in remote pharmacy roles.
• Familiarity with hospital, clinical or oncology pharmacy.
