Job summary

Samsung C&T Corporation Australia is seeking an experienced Quality Manager for a contract role within the Energy business unit in Melbourne. You will lead quality management activities, ensuring compliance with ISO and AS/NZS standards across transmission lines and large energy infrastructure projects.

You will guide delivery teams, run inspections and audits, and prepare management reports to drive continuous improvement while maintaining a strong safety and regulatory posture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in civil / electrical engineering or similar.
• Experience as a QA Advisor/Lead or equivalent.
• Experienced with Transmission lines projects or large energy infrastructure projects.
• Well-developed leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills coupled with excellent attention to detail.
• Construction Induction Card (White card).

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of project Quality Management System to ensure quality objectives and targets are met.
• Ensure that the project conforms with ISO and AS/NZS regulatory / legal requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical works to identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify, manage and monitor quality objectives, requirements, risks and other issues that may adversely impact the surety of successful project delivery.
• Provide guidance and support to the project leadership team to develop and maintain a quality culture that drives business improvement.
• Prepare detailed quality reports and presentations for management, highlighting key performance indicators, trends and areas for improvement.
• Provide support to delivery teams (engineers, supervisors, surveyors) in meeting contractual requirements in relation to Quality Management.
• Ensure that the workplace maintains robust risk management processes, capability, focus and discipline associated with quality.
• Provide technical quality expertise for the project.
• Ensure that the workplace understands and meets its regulatory and legal obligations as they relate to quality.
• Handle client expectations and communicate effectively with the project team.
