Job summary

Samsung C&T Australia is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Transmission Line sector from Melbourne. You will oversee design reviews, coordinate with EPC partners, and guide a multidisciplinary project team to deliver safe, efficient infrastructure.

The role requires deep electrical engineering expertise, 20+ years in major infra projects and 8+ in renewable energy, plus strong stakeholder management and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering is required.
• 20+ years in major infrastructure projects with a focus on renewables is essential.
• 8+ years of experience in Renewable Energy sector.
• Deep expertise in PLS-CADD software, tower/pole analysis, and line routing geometry.
• Strong knowledge of insulation coordination, shielding, grounding systems, and HVDC/HVAC technologies.
• Experience managing EPC partners, supply chains, and skilled field labor.
• Proven ability to mitigate budget overruns and adapt allocations during staffing shortages.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and motivate diverse teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.

• Forecast future resourcing and participate in recruitment and retention; manage contracts and changes.
