Job summary

CEA Technologies in Canberra seeks an Inspector to support the timely delivery of products meeting customer requirements. The role focuses on inspection, recording CSP condition on receipt, and data management for CEA parts.

You will also assist in risk reporting and configuration audits within a defence-oriented environment. Ideal candidates will have CAD interpretation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to report risks and implement controls.

• Experience inspecting to IPC A 600; IPC A 610; IPC A 620; and J-STD-001.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to focus across multiple resources/projects.
• Demonstrated ability to report risks and apply risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections in accordance with accepted standards and procedures.
• Inspect and record the condition of Customer Supplied Property on receipt.
• Process inward goods and supplier documentation, non-conformance reports, and maintain supplier quality data.
• Create database entries and bar-codes for CEA designed parts.
• Contribute to configuration audits and build/record product structures.

CEA is an Australian Commonwealth company that designs, develops, manufactures and sustains advanced active phased array radar systems. Our programs include the ANZAC and Hunter Class frigates and air defence applications for Army and Air Force, and Range applications.

Through our longstanding and ongoing collaboration with Defence, CEA Technologies has undertaken research and development into all aspects of active electronically scanned array technologies. This has resulted in the creation of a highly modular and scalable product suite, which have become integral to a wide range of critical Defence capabilities.

The Position

In this role, you will work with internal and external interested parties to continually improve and ensure the timely delivery of product(s) that meets or exceeds customer requirements. The role primarily involves the inspection, identification, and data recording activities for all CEA designed components and assemblies, and configuration audit conduct.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform inspections in accordance with accepted standards and procedures. These standards may include: IPC A 600; IPC A 610; IPC A 620; and J-STD-001.

Inspect and record the condition of Customer Supplied Property (CSP) on receipt.

Processing of inward goods and supplier documentation, non-conformance reports, maintain supplier quality data and provide support and advice to other staff involved in these activities.

Create database entries and bar-codes for CEA designed parts.

Report risks and ensure relevant risk controls are performed to a suitable level.

Contribute to the conduct of configuration audits, including the building and recording of product structures.
