Job summary

John Holland Pty Ltd in Adelaide seeks a Quality Engineer/Advisor with Mechanical and Electrical expertise to ensure quality across tunnel and road construction projects.

You will implement QMS, lead inspections, audits, and continuous improvement with a focus on compliance to ISO 9001 and client requirements. This is a frontline role on a landmark project within the Torrens to Darlington Alliance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience implementing quality management processes and ISO 9001.
• Ability to monitor, review, report, audit management procedures and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain quality management processes in line with ISO 9001 standards.
• Develop quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and project-specific quality documentation.
• Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with project specs and client requirements.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier quality processes.
• Manage non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Plan and conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with QMS and project requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to close out audit findings and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and NCRs, and prepare performance reports.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on quality issues.
• Act as a technical resource for quality-related matters and drive continuous improvement.
