Job summary

John Holland in Adelaide is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the tunnel civil fitout package, with a focus on precast barrier installation, panel and barrier self-delivery, and associated civil works.

You will own the delivery, coordinating with the Project Manager, Site Supervisors, subcontractors and the broader engineering team to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality and programme.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Experience as Project Engineer on major civil infrastructure projects.
Strong delivery and coordination capabilities.
Experience with precast elements, barriers or similar components is valued.
Understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and site logistics.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day engineering and delivery for the tunnel civil fitout package.
Plan and coordinate precast barrier installation and logistics.
Oversee panel and barrier self-delivery to match programme.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, plant and resources to maintain progress.
Review drawings, specs and technical documents; support programmes and short-term plans.
Monitor progress, costs and resources; manage RFIs and quality docs.
Resolve technical and delivery issues with the site team.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
Provide regular reporting to the Project Manager.
Mentor two Site Engineers reporting to you.
