Job summary
Daikin Australia is seeking a Quality Engineer to report to the Quality Manager within the Manufacturing team. You will ensure products and processes meet ISO 9001 standards, drive continuous improvement, lead defect investigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to sustain high product quality and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 5 years in a manufacturing quality role, with hands-on experience in 8D, FMEA/PFMEA, Lean
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years in a related quality role within manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS.
- Hands-on with quality tools (8D, FMEA/PFMEA, Lean, Six Sigma).
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor manufacturing processes and use 8D/QC tools for non-conformances.
- Lead corrective/preventive actions and Engineering Change activities.
- Maintain QMS documentation per ISO 9001 and support cross-functional teams.
- Lead Quality Circle activities and assist with risk assessments and validation.
- Drive Kaizen and Lean/Six Sigma projects to reduce defects and waste.
- Assist with supplier evaluations and quality performance reviews.
