Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC, Geelong site, seeks a Supervisor, Quality & Compliance to ensure Barwon Prison meets local and state requirements. You will manage policy documents, undertake quality reviews and lead improvement projects.

Working with prison leadership, you will monitor compliance, assess risks, and advise on policy options to embed safe, lawful practices in a busy corrections environment.

Qualifications

• Monitor and report on location's compliance with policies and procedures.
• Lead QA reviews and audits and provide risk-based recommendations.
• Develop guidelines and implement policy options within the work area.
• Manage projects and communication/consultation strategies across site.
• Provide technical and specialist advice in quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on the location's compliance with local and overarching policies and procedures
• Facilitate the review, update and administration of local policy documents with consideration to department, state and federal legislation and regulations, including the Victorian Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006
