Job summary

John Holland, part of the Torrens to Darlington Alliance in Adelaide, is seeking a Quality Administrator to support the QMS. You will maintain records, assist with document control, and help the quality team deliver compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires an administrative background in construction or infrastructure, familiarity with Aconex/SharePoint, and the ability to coordinate audits and training sessions for site personnel and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent qualification.
• Bachelor Degree or undertaking undergraduate course in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction, Quality Management or Project Management.
• Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Experience in an administrative role, preferably within construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
• Experience supporting quality/compliance functions in a project-based environment.
• Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint) and quality reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality documentation, including policies, procedures, forms, and work instructions.
• Assist in preparation, distribution, and version control of quality documents.
• Provide admin support to the quality team, including scheduling meetings and taking minutes.
• Support preparation and submission of quality reports and presentations.
• Maintain records of audit findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Ensure retention and filing of quality records.
• Coordinate internal and external quality audits and gather required documentation.
• Track status of audit findings and corrective actions.
• Coordinate and deliver quality training programs for employees and subcontractors.
• Act as point of contact for quality-related inquiries and assist stakeholders.
• Monitor compliance with the Quality Management System and standards.
• Identify potential non-conformances and areas for improvement.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives with admin support.

Job description

The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The Role

The Quality Administrator provides administrative and operational support for the effective implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures accurate record-keeping, assists with document control, and supports the quality team in delivering compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key accountabilities

• Maintain and manage quality documentation, including policies, procedures, forms, and work instructions, ensuring they are current, accurate, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation, distribution, and version control of quality-related documents.
• Provide administrative assistance to the quality team, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
• Support the preparation and submission of quality reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
• Maintain accurate records of quality data, including audit findings, non-conformances, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with retention and filing requirements for quality records.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external quality audits, including gathering required documentation and evidence.
• Track and monitor the status of audit findings and corrective actions.
• Assist in the coordination and delivery of quality training programs and awareness sessions for employees and subcontractors.
• Act as a point of contact for quality-related inquiries and provide general assistance to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the quality team in monitoring compliance with the organisation’s Quality Management System and relevant standards.
• Assist in identifying and reporting potential non-conformances and areas for improvement.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by providing administrative support and tracking progress on agreed actions.

About you

• Certificate IV in Business Administration, or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
• Bachelor Degree or undertaking undergraduate course in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction, Quality Management or Project Management.
