Job summary

Southern Cross Care Queensland is seeking qualified Home Care Support Workers to join our Community Services Team across Chinchilla and surrounding towns. You will deliver domestic assistance and personal support to aged care clients in their homes, helping them stay independent and live well in the community.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, Home & Community Care or equivalent.
• Exceptional people and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage time across multiple clients.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
• A current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Own reliable car and valid registration/insurance.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

We have opportunities for qualified Home Care Support Workers to join our Community Services Team and assist our Aged Care Clients in the Chinchilla, Tara, Miles, Jandowae, and Meandarra communities. Working closely with our Home Care Manager and Care Partners, our Support Workers provide our clients with domestic assistance and/or personal support services enabling them to be more independent at home and in the community.

What you will bring to the role?

• Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, Home & Community Care or equivalent.

• Ability to work autonomously and to manage your time effectively as you will be required to provide services to multiple clients a day.
• Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
• A current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Own reliable car to use for work with full comprehensive car insurance and current registration (documents showing currency required).
• Availability to work a variety of shift.
