Job summary

MV Finance in Adelaide is seeking a motivated Mortgage Broker to join a boutique team. You will focus on nurturing client relationships, understanding goals, and delivering clear lending guidance.

With administration support and provided leads, you will manage the end-to-end journey from initial conversations through to settlement, while building your own network. You should hold a Certificate IV or Diploma and have 12+ months in mortgage broking or lending.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma completed in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
• Strong focus on client relationships and communication.
• Experience in mortgage broking or lending is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional client experience and build genuine relationships.
• Manage the full client journey from needs analysis to loan settlement.
• Handle your own client and loan files with guidance from the Director.
• Keep clients informed so the lending process feels straightforward and personal.
• Collaborate with processing and administration to stay client-focused.
• Convert MV Finance leads while developing your own referral network.
• Provide accurate, compliant credit advice and maintain records.

Key Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional client experience, building genuine relationships and taking the time to understand what each client is hoping to achieve.
• Build your capability across the full client journey, from initial conversations and needs analysis through to loan structuring, applications and settlement.
• Manage your own clients and loan files, with access to the Director for guidance and more complex lending scenarios.
• Keep clients informed every step of the way, making the lending process feel straightforward, personal and well managed.
• Work closely with the processing and administration team, allowing you to stay focused on your clients, relationships and broking.
• Convert leads provided by MV Finance while gradually developing your own network and referral relationships.
• Provide accurate and compliant credit advice and maintain high-quality client and loan records.
• Continue building your knowledge of lenders, products, policy and different lending scenarios.
• Pitch in, support the people around you and contribute to the kind of team everyone enjoys being part of.

You will also be a genuine team player who enjoys working alongside others, together with:

• Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and/or Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management completed. This is an essential requirement.
• At least 12 months' experience within mortgage broking or lending, with exposure to the end-to-end mortgage broking process highly regarded.
• A natural flair for customer service and the ability to build rapport and make people feel comfortable and genuinely looked after.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including the confidence to connect with new people.
• Energy, initiative and a genuine appetite to learn, ask questions and take feedback on board.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow things through.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to pitch in and support the team.
• The motivation to build relationships and, over time, develop your own network and referral opportunities.
