City of Greater Geelong is seeking a Fixed Term Full Time Turf Maintenance role covering golf courses, turf wickets and sports ground areas. You will operate machinery, undertake mowing and weed control, and assist turf education programs as part of a team.
Applicants should have turf maintenance experience and be proficient with chemical applications. A current Victorian driver’s licence is required, with a light truck licence an advantage. This is a Band 4 role in Geelong.
In this role, you will be expected to carry out allocated tasks to specified standards, to meet customer and divisional expectations for high quality turf maintenance of Councils specialised turf areas, including golf courses, turf wickets and sports ground maintenance.
Work type: Fixed term Full Time - 24 months
Classification: Band 4 $76,010 pa plus super (pro rata)
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in maintenance of golf courses and turf areas to a high standard and are proficient in the use of herbicides, insecticides, pesticides and fungicides and the ability to work as part of a team. Wicket preparation experience desired, however not essential.
