Geelong Careers is seeking a dedicated turf maintenance technician for high‑quality care of golf courses and specialised turf areas in Geelong. You will operate a range of horticultural equipment and apply herbicides, insecticides and fungicides in a safe, regulated manner.
The role requires a Certificate 3 in Horticulture (Turf Management), a current Victorian Driver's Licence, and willingness to undergo police checks and a pre‑employment medical. Teamwork and safety are essential.
In this role, you will be expected to carry out allocated tasks to specified standards, to meet customer and divisional expectations for high quality turf maintenance of Councils specialised turf areas, including golf courses, turf wickets and sports ground maintenance., * Operate and maintain horticultural / arboriculture plant and equipment including sprayers, hand/small ride on mowers, small tractors, large ride-on mowers and related machinery in an effective and efficient manner and in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and practices.

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in maintenance of golf courses and turf areas to a high standard and are proficient in the use of herbicides, insecticides, pesticides and fungicides and the ability to work as part of a team. Wicket preparation experience desired, however not essential.
