Capture Recruitment Pty is seeking an experienced trade qualified Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Preston. This is a genuine hands-on maintenance role working across production machinery, breakdowns, preventative maintenance and machine setting.

You will work across mechanical plant, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics, with a rotating day, afternoon and night shift roster.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualifications: Fitters and Turners or equivalent.
• Experience setting and changing over production machinery.
• Experience as a Maintenance Fitter in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong breakdown maintenance and fault finding skills.
• Solid preventative maintenance across mechanical plant and equipment.
• Experience with pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Willingness to work rotating day/afternoon/night shift.

Responsabilités

• Set, adjust and change production machinery to suit products and production requirements.
• Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, motors and rotating equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Collaborate with production operators to minimise downtime during adjustments and repairs.
• Complete mechanical breakdown repairs across production machinery and plant equipment.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections and servicing.
• Fault find and identify root causes of equipment failures.

The Role

• Set, adjust and change production machinery to suit different products and production requirements
• Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, motors and rotating equipment
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems and associated components
• Work closely with production operators to complete machine adjustments, changeovers and repairs while minimising downtime
• Complete mechanical breakdown repairs across production machinery and plant equipment
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections and servicing
• Fault find mechanical issues and identify the root cause of equipment failures

About You

• Australian recognised Fitter and Turner, Mechanical Fitter or equivalent trade qualification
• Proven experience setting, adjusting and changing over production machinery
• Demonstrated experience working as a Maintenance Fitter within manufacturing or industrial environments
• Strong breakdown maintenance and mechanical fault finding experience
• Solid preventative maintenance experience across mechanical plant and equipment
• Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Able and willing to work a rotating day, afternoon and night shift roster
