Job summary

Enviro Sweep, based in Penrith, NSW, is seeking a full-time, permanent diesel/mechanic to join our busy workshop. The successful candidate will bring a solid mechanical skill set and experience in servicing and maintaining diesel machinery, with on-site repair capabilities.

Role involves fault diagnosis, routine servicing, and remote or on-site support for our vehicle fleet. A strong safety focus, punctuality, and teamwork are essential in this expanding company.

Qualifications

• Proficient mechanical knowledge with a solid skill set in diesel machinery.
• Auto-electrical, electrical and hydraulic capabilities are essential.
• Two years minimum servicing and maintenance of heavy or light diesel products.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled service and repair work on various machinery on site.
• Diagnose diesel engine faults, perform repairs and reconditioning.
• Diagnose vehicle control systems and rectify issues.
• Replace or refurbish perishable or consumable components.
• Conduct on-site repairs and servicing.
• Attend service calls as required.

About the Role

This full-time position based in Penrith, NSW will be working in a small yet active and friendly team and will report to the Branch Manager. The successful mechanic will be responsible for:

• The completion of all required and scheduled service and repair work on various machinery on site
• Diesel engine fault diagnosis, repairs and reconditioning
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and rectification of vehicle control system
• Replacement or service/refurbishment of perishable/useful life or consumable machine components
• On site repairs and servicing
• Attendance to service calls when required

• Proficient mechanical knowledge and demonstrated auto-electrical, electrical and hydraulic skills
• At least two years’ relevant employment experience servicing and maintaining heavy or light diesel products
• Driver's licence rated MR or higher
• Commitment to maintain and adhere to safety guidelines
• Ability to work autonomously whilst maintaining a company driven focus
• A solution-finding and continuous improvement approach
• A sense of urgency and punctuality in your work, backed by a strong work ethic
• A high customer service focus
• Ability to work in, and contribute to a small team
