Job summary

You should be trade qualified with a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, and have experience with heavy vehicles and diagnostics. A strong safety mindset and a willingness to mentor apprentices are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent).
• Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and diagnostics.
• High attendance, punctuality, and efficiency standards.
• Adheres to WHS policies and roadworthy compliance.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Perform engine overhauls, brake repairs, and suspension work.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure all repairs meet safety standards.
• Mentor and provide technical support to apprentices as required.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns using the field service unit when needed.
