Job summary

Cummins Asia Pacific is seeking a commercially minded pricing analyst to maintain pricing data in Movex, support scheduled pricing actions, and deliver insights to drive commercial decisions across APAC. You will work with Pricing, Finance, Product Management and Sales to ensure accurate data, timely actions, and effective stakeholder communication.

The role emphasizes data analysis, large data-set handling, and cross-functional collaboration with limited supervision after onboarding.

Qualifications

• A university degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business or Accounting is highly desirable.
• At least 1 year of relevant pricing or commercial analysis experience in a medium-to-large organisation.
• Strong financial and commercial understanding with the ability to translate data into practical insights.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with large or ambiguous data sets from multiple sources.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to identify anomalies and gaps.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trusted, cooperative relationships.
• Proactive in prioritising work, able to network across APAC and work with limited supervision after onboarding.
• Strong collaboration with Pricing, Finance, Product Management and Sales; SAP pricing exposure is valued but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement scheduled mid-year and full-year pricing actions, ensuring changes are completed accurately and communicated to stakeholders.
• Contribute to pricing improvement and analytical projects, including competitive pricing and price-performance analysis.
• Prepare clear reports, analysis and insights to support pricing and commercial decisions.
• Provide timely, practical support to internal stakeholders on day-to-day pricing queries and issues.
• Handle confidential and commercially sensitive information appropriately.

Job description

This role will suit a commercially minded individual, you will support accurate, timely and effective pricing execution. You will maintain pricing data, implement scheduled price changes, produce analysis and reporting, and provide responsive support to stakeholders across the APAC region. You will have a real opportunity to make an impact in a business with considerable scale locally and globally. While base level pricing skills are required, it will be your ability to engage with the right stakeholders and partner with them to deliver commercial insights that will define your success.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Maintain accurate pricing data in the Movex system, including account setup, data validation and issue resolution.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• A university degree, or equivalent qualification, in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business, Marketing, Accounting or a related discipline is highly desirable.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience, ideally in pricing, commercial analysis or a related analytical role within a medium-to-large organisation.
• Sound financial and commercial understanding, with the ability to translate data into practical insights.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large or ambiguous data sets from multiple sources.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including the ability to identify anomalies, gaps and unmatched data.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted and cooperative working relationships.
• A proactive approach to managing priorities, building networks across the APAC region and delivering work with limited supervision after onboarding.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across Pricing, Finance, Product Management and Sales.
• The ability to learn new systems, with SAP pricing experience highly regarded but not essential.
