Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Melbourne seeks a Pricing Analyst for a 24-month fixed-term contract across the APAC region. You will deliver analytical insights, maintain pricing data, and support price actions while partnering with Finance, Sales and Product teams.

You will leverage Movex and SAP data to ensure accurate pricing execution and contribute to price-performance analyses guiding commercial decisions.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business, Accounting or related discipline is highly desirable.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in pricing, commercial analysis or related analytical role.
• Sound financial and commercial understanding with ability to translate data into insights.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large/ambiguous data sets from multiple sources.
• High accuracy and attention to detail; identify anomalies and data gaps.
• Clear written and verbal communication with ability to build stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pricing data in Movex, including account setup, data validation and issue resolution.
• Support and implement scheduled mid-year and full-year pricing actions with effective communication.
• Contribute to pricing improvements and analytical projects (competitive pricing, price-performance).
• Prepare reports, analyses and insights to support pricing and commercial decisions.
• Provide timely, practical support to internal stakeholders on day-to-day pricing queries.
• Handle confidential and commercially sensitive information appropriately.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Pricing Analyst (24-month fixed-term contract) to join our team. You will play an important role in delivering analytical insights, developing commercial opportunities, and delivering efficient and effective pricing processes right across the APAC region. As part of the Quantum program, you will also support the transition of pricing processes and data from Movex to SAP.

This role will suit a commercially minded individual, you will support accurate, timely and effective pricing execution. You will maintain pricing data, implement scheduled price changes, produce analysis and reporting, and provide responsive support to stakeholders across the APAC region.. You will have a real opportunity to make an impact in a business with considerable scale locally and globally. While base level pricing skills are required, it will be your ability to engage with the right stakeholders and partner with them to deliver commercial insights that will define your success.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Maintain accurate pricing data in the Movex system, including account setup, data validation and issue resolution.

• Support and implement scheduled mid-year and full-year pricing actions, ensuring changes are completed accurately and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

• Contribute to pricing improvement and analytical projects, including competitive pricing and price-performance analysis.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

• A university degree, or equivalent qualification, in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business, Marketing, Accounting or a related discipline is highly desirable.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience, ideally in pricing, commercial analysis or a related analytical role within a medium-to-large organisation.

• Sound financial and commercial understanding, with the ability to translate data into practical insights.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with large or ambiguous data sets from multiple sources.

• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including the ability to identify anomalies, gaps and unmatched data.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted and cooperative working relationships.

• A proactive approach to managing priorities, building networks across the APAC region and delivering work with limited supervision after onboarding.

• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across Pricing, Finance, Product Management and Sales.

• The ability to learn new systems, with SAP pricing experience highly regarded but not essential.
