Nova Partners Executive Search & Selection – South Brisbane QLD is seeking an experienced Qld Operations Manager to lead its road and pavement maintenance business, a ~$20M revenue operation with around 40 staff. The role blends frontline leadership with strategic client engagement and strong safety performance.

The successful candidate will manage a 40-strong team, drive culture, safety, and margins, align with national strategy, and pursue growth with Tier 1 contractors.

Qualifications

• Proven operational leadership in road maintenance or civil construction.
• Experience managing blue-collar, site-based crews at scale.
• Strong stakeholder management with Tier 1 contractors and major clients.

Qld Operations Manager – Road & Pavement Maintenance

Crestmead, Brisbane | Reporting to National Manager (Sydney)

A well-established and growing infrastructure services group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead its Queensland road and pavement maintenance business — a ~$20M revenue operation with a team of around 40 people.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who has come up through road construction, civil engineering, or related blue‑collar, site‑based workforce management, and who is equally comfortable on the tools, in the yard, and in the boardroom with key clients.

The role:

• Lead and grow a 40-strong operational team, driving performance, culture, and accountability across the business
• Build and manage relationships with key clients and large Tier 1 contractors, ensuring programs are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard
• Own the safety culture of the business — HSEQ isn't a box to tick, it's the way the job gets done
• Manage financial performance, pricing, and resourcing to protect margin and grow the book
• Work closely with, and support, the National Manager based in Sydney to align the Queensland business with broader company strategy
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand the client base
