Job summary

Access Aged Care is seeking General Practitioners to join our Queensland team, providing regular weekly rounds within Residential Aged Care Homes and building lasting relationships with residents, families and care teams.

You’ll work weekday hours only, with dedicated nursing and telehealth support to coordinate care plans and follow-up. AHPRA Specialist Registration and RACGP/ACRRM Fellowship are required, and a personal laptop is needed to perform the duties.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner.
• RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship required (or nearing completion).
• Availability of 1 day per week initially, with opportunity to increase.
• Comfortable with technology, including systems-based reporting and common clinical software.
• A personal laptop is required to perform the duties of this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular weekly rounds within one or more Residential Aged Care Homes.
• Build meaningful long-term relationships with residents, families and care teams.
• Work with dedicated nurses and telehealth specialists to coordinate care plans.
• Engage with telehealth geriatricians, physicians and specialists for complex decisions.
• Deliver quality, patient-centred care with proactive interventions and less paperwork.
