Job summary

Access Aged Care in Western Australia is seeking expressions of interest from General Practitioners to join our growing team. You’ll provide regular weekly rounds within one or more Residential Aged Care Homes, caring for a consistent cohort of residents and building meaningful long‑term relationships with residents, families and care teams.

This role offers weekday hours only, with no after-hours, weekends or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner (GP).
• RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship required (or nearing completion).
• Availability of 1 day per week initially, with opportunity to increase.
• Comfortable with technology, including system-based reporting and common clinical software.
• A personal laptop is required to perform the duties of this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular weekly rounds within Residential Aged Care Homes and build long-term relationships with residents, families and care teams.
• Work weekday hours only (no after-hours, weekends or on-call); dedicated after-hours support in place.
• Coordinate with Access Aged Care Nurse, telehealth geriatricians and specialists for care plans and follow-up.
• Contribute to proactive, high-quality resident care and efficient care coordination.
