Job summary

Access Aged Care seeks a dedicated General Practitioner to provide on-site care within Residential Aged Care Homes on the Sunshine Coast. The role offers weekday hours only, with no after-hours, weekends or on-call requirements, and includes dedicated nursing support to streamline rounds and follow-up care.

You will conduct regular weekly rounds, coordinate care plans, and work with telehealth geriatricians and specialists to address issues early and provide high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner.
• RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship required (or nearing completion).
• Availability of 1-2 days per week, with opportunity to increase.
• Comfortable with technology, including common clinical software.
• A personal laptop is required to perform the duties of this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site General Practitioner care within Residential Aged Care Homes on the Sunshine Coast.
• Conduct regular weekly rounds and build relationships with residents and care teams.
• Coordinate care plans with the Access Aged Care Nurse and telehealth supports.

About The Role

Access Aged Care is seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to provide on-site care within Residential Aged Care Homes within the Sunshine Coast.

This opportunity offers weekday hours only, with no after-hours, weekends or on-call requirements. With dedicated after-hours support in place, you can switch off between sessions and protect your personal time.

You’ll provide regular weekly rounds within one or more Residential Aged Care Homes, caring for a consistent cohort of residents and building meaningful long-term relationships with residents, families and care teams.

An Access Aged Care Nurse supports your rounds, residents and follow-up care, helping coordinate care plans, investigations and communication with homes so your sessions run smoothly and efficiently.
