Job summary

Cambridge, UK, is seeking a QEC Researcher on the Frontier team to help develop the world’s first QEC stack and unlock useful quantum computing. The team blends research and software development, focusing on the QEC decoder and compiler stack.

You will join a small, collaborative group, working closely with internal research and development teams, with support to build knowledge in quantum computing on the job.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving ability with a methodical approach.
• Knowledge of Python or C++ for implementation.
• Experience with collaborative software development practices, e.g. GitHub.
• Eager to learn and able to work on the job.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate potential QEC decoder solutions and implement production-ready code.
• Develop both scientific and software engineering skills within the team.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize QEC protocols and experiments.
• Write clean, well-structured code for testing ideas and contributing to the QEC stack.
• Write papers and present work at conferences.
