Job summary

Elite Steel is seeking an experienced QA/QC leader for its head office in Australia. The role demands strong governance over QA/QC programs according to international standards and extensive industry experience.

You will manage risk, drive quality improvements across projects, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors to ensure compliance and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

• Expert level knowledge of QA/QC under international standards like API-650 and ASME.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas and related projects, with at least 5 years in management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC policies and procedures at corporate and project levels.
• Lead certification processes and internal/external audits, resolving NCRs.
• Implement quality improvement systems to enhance project performance.
• Conduct risk assessments related to quality and safety on construction sites.
• Plan, direct and coordinate QA programs and quality control policies.
• Determine system improvements and implement changes.
• Attend internal, client, and consultants’ quality management meetings.
• Manage the Quality Team and monitor performance.
• Prepare quality dossiers for company and subcontractors and submittals to client.
• Prepare and control project quality system management documentation.
• Review personnel qualifications and training requirements for quality inspection.

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering. MBA degree with engineering is a plus.

• Expert level knowledge of QA/QC under international standards like API-650 and ASME etc.

• 10+ years of experience in Oil & Gas and other similar projects out which 5 years should be at managerial level.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1-Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control policies and procedures at Corporate Level and for the projects.
2. 2-Lead the Certification processes and internal and external quality audits on behalf of the company’s management and resolve NCRs.
3. 3-Implement quality improvement systems and initiatives to enhance overall project performance.
4. Conduct risk assessments related to quality and safety on construction sites.
5. 4-To plan, direct and coordinate quality assurance programs and formulate quality control policies.
6. 5-Determining system improvements; implementing change.
7. 6-Attend internal, client and consultants’ quality management meetings at proposal and project execution stages.
8. 7-Management of the Quality Team and monitoring their performance.
9. 8-of Quality Dossiers for Company and Sub-Contractors and submittals to client.
10. 9-The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement.
11. 10-Review Quality Inspection Personnel Qualifications And Training Requirements.
12. 11-Coordinate with external stakeholders to ensure project compliance.
