Aussie IT Jobs in Sydney, NSW is seeking a Python Developer for a permanent, full-time role. You will contribute to building scalable production systems, develop cloud-native and API/data pipeline components, and support DevOps practices with modern tooling.

Requirements include hands-on Python development, AWS experience, and familiarity with secure SDLC and observability. This on-site position offers broad collaboration with business teams and cross-functional partners.

Qualificações

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including design patterns and testing.
• Hands-on development experience, preferably Python, building scalable systems.
• Experience designing cloud-native or distributed/event-driven systems.
• Experience building or integrating APIs and data pipelines.
• Solid DevOps, CI/CD and automation experience with GitHub Actions or similar.
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of observability: monitoring, logging, alerting, production support.
• Understanding secure SDLC and DevSecOps practices.

We use a broad range of technologies, tools, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all, but experience in several of the following areas will help you succeed in this role:

Must have:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including system design, design patterns, clean code practices, and automated testing.
• Proven hands-on development experience, preferably in Python, building scalable and maintainable production systems.
• Experience designing and delivering cloud-native, distributed or event-driven systems and contributing to technical design decisions.
• Experience building or integrating APIs, data pipelines, workflow automation and data-intensive applications.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and engineering automation, with experience using tools such as GitHub Actions or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Knowledge of observability practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and production support.
• Understanding of secure software development practices and DevSecOps principles.

Nice to have:

• Experience or knowledge of banking, lending, working capital, trade finance, commodities or financial markets will be highly regarded

Skills must have:

• Python, AWS, DevOps, Trade finance (Trading) domain expertise, as he/she needs to work closely with the Business team (Trading SME’s).
