Job summary

JobsTrackR is seeking a Senior Python Developer in Brisbane to join a flexible, permanent hybrid team. You will build scalable backend systems, REST APIs and data-driven platforms, collaborating with product managers, engineers and data specialists to shape the product.

You will design, implement and test features, work with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms, and contribute to CI/CD processes while ensuring code quality and performance.

Qualifications

• 4 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Understanding of software engineering principles.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good testing practices and problem-solving skills.

Salary: 130,000 – 155,000 Super

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Senior Python Developer to join a growing technology team building scalable software products and data-driven platforms.

You will work closely with product managers, software engineers and data specialists to design, develop and maintain high-quality applications. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Python
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
• Work with engineering and product teams to deliver new features
• Integrate internal platforms with third-party systems and services
• Develop automated testing and improve code quality
