Job summary

A technology solutions provider is seeking a skilled Python Developer APS 6 for a non-remote role in Canberra. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Python and extensive experience with Django, REST APIs, and SQL databases. Responsibilities include writing and testing code, optimizing software performance, and collaborating in Agile environments. A joining bonus of $1000 is offered along with a referral bonus of $1000. Applicants must be Australian citizens with NV1 clearance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in similar environments.
• Hands-on experience with Django and Django REST framework.
• Understanding of asynchronous and event-driven architectures.
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs using Django REST framework.
• Experience with messaging queues/streaming platforms (e.g. Apache Pulsar).
• Understanding of asynchronous and event-driven architectures.
• Strong SQL skills and PostgreSQL or similar relational database.
• Debugging and problem-solving across the full stack.
• Experience with Django ORM and MVC/MVT Architecture.
• Experience with Django Models and Migrations.
