Job summary

Designer Doorware is seeking a hands-on Purchasing and Product Manager in Melbourne to own purchasing, supplier relationships and inventory planning. You will also manage product data, codes and ERP records to ensure accurate stock and reliable supply across our premium architectural hardware range.

You will collaborate with sales, design and production to optimise stock levels, inform range decisions and drive lifecycle improvements, with visibility into executive leadership and a fast-moving

Qualifications

• 3+ years in purchasing, procurement or inventory management within manufacturing or product-based business.
• Strong supplier negotiation skills and overseas sourcing experience is preferred.
• Experience creating and maintaining product/component records in ERP (codes, SKUs, BOMs).
• Sound inventory planning skills and contribution to stock mix decisions.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with business sense to balance cost, availability, margins.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing from requirements planning through to delivery; negotiate pricing/terms and manage supplier relationships.
• Own creation and maintenance of product codes, SKUs and master records in Priority ERP.
• Review demand, stock movement and lead times to set replenishment levels and control working capital.
• Analyze sales, margins and range performance to guide product changes and lifecycle decisions.
• Coordinate freight, stock takes and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor purchasing, supplier and inventory performance and implement practical improvements.
