Job summary

Obela, part of PepsiCo ANZ, invites applications for a Purchasing Officer at our Adelaide site in Cavan. You will coordinate procurement activities to support production, manage purchase orders, and strengthen supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration or relevant discipline (preferred)
• Min 1-2 years' experience as a Purchasing Administrator/Officer
• Highly proficient in MS Office and SAP
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes from order to completion, including release of purchase orders, coordination of timely receivable of goods and service and closure of orders
• Understanding of inventory management concepts and procedures

Responsibilities

• Purchasing: daily processing of approved purchase requisitions to purchase orders and confirming delivery times with suppliers
• Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to deliver cost savings, manage risk, and support production objectives through sourcing, supplier evaluation, and negotiation
• Use of SAP & ERP System to deliver PO processing and reporting, expediting, QA and supply chain monitoring
• Support QA with raw materials testing procedures
• Support R&D and Marketing with new materials search and sourcing
• Work with Finance to ensure Purchasing policies align with financial policies and timely supplier payments
