Job summary

Mitchell Morley Employees on Sydney's Northern Beaches is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist for a full-time temporary contract, starting immediately. You will manage procurement of goods and services, maintain supplier relationships, and collaborate with engineers, production, and warehouse teams.

Based in Sydney's Northern Beaches, the role requires SAP expertise, strong communication, and the ability to work to tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and purchasing for manufacturing environments.
• Experience creating and issuing purchase orders; order expediting.
• SAP experience is mandatory.
• Able to liaise with engineers, production, suppliers and warehouse.
• Attention to detail and ability to work to short timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution
• Follow up on order acknowledgements, deliveries, and invoicing requirements and suppliers
• Build and maintain effective relationships with assigned suppliers
• Act as the primary contact for supplier-related queries and day-to-day matters
• Expedite orders and proactively resolve supply or delivery issues
• Maintain accurate procurement data within SAP using Master Data

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Specialist to join a dynamic procurement team on a full-time temporary contract starting immediately. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient procurement of goods and services and managing supplier relationships. Youwill have the opportunity to apply your relationship management skills liaising with engineers, the production team, suppliers and warehouse colleagues. Your responsibilities will include:

You will be experienced, self-motivated and results driven. Your attention to detail and the ability to efficiently pull together purchase orders to short timelines is key. You'll be a clear communicator with the ability to work well with a variety of stakeholders. Experience with SAPis a MUST. Bring your fast and accurate data entry skills and experience with reading Bills of material and operations to this temporary role. Experience with manufacturing and/or engineering or similar is an advantage.
